Studying law is possible only if there is an organized service of collecting and cataloging documents - normative, jurisprudential and doctrinal - related to the legal sciences. In Unimore's Department of Law, such a service is carried out by the Law Library, located at Via Camatta 16, which makes available to students and researchers a considerable amount of books and documents.

The study of law has not only a theoretical dimension and is also developed in the analysis of the concrete effects of legislation and jurisprudence on certain human activities. To this end, five research centers are active in the Department of Law at Unimore on as many topics that specifically concern the relationship between law and society. There are also two laboratories (the computer laboratory and the language laboratory) that accompany students in their study and research activities.
