The aim of the Third Mission is to bridge the gap between the world of research and citizens, bringing the results of scientific activity to the attention of the community. In this context, the Department of Law promotes and actively participates in the debate on issues of particular political and civil relevance and in the dissemination of legal knowledge through public engagement activities.
Third Mission initiatives take the form of meetings with the public (debates, conferences, seminars, round tables), activities aimed at schools, the publication of articles and informative materials, the organization of public events, exhibitions, or shows, as well as the participation of Department faculty in radio and television broadcasts, hearings at national and European institutions, and the activities of international organizations.

The "Competition Law" seminar aims to disseminate knowledge and practical skills of EU legislation and the most recent case law on topics of great interest to industry professionals. It also provides a review of specific aspects, with contributions from Group of Experts of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)and the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM), as well as qualified institutional representatives on Competition Law and Policy. The aim of the seminar on "Competition and Artificial Intelligence", provide some practical perspettive up-to-date legal knowledge of EU legislation and the most recent case law on topics of great interest to industry professionals. The intention is to provide a review of specific aspects, with input from qualified institutional experts. With contributions from Group of Experts from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), these should describe important modifications and technical notes on artificial intelligence and competition law, which identify both the opportunities of artificial intelligence to empower consumers and improve enforcement, as well as the risks of opacity, manipulation, and discrimination.

The seminar on the "Digital Markets Act and Digital Services Act aim to create a safer digital space" aims to convey up-to-date knowledge of EU legislation and the most recent case law on topics of great interest to industry professionals. It also aims to provide a review of specific aspects, with input from experts and qualified International institutional. The Experts from the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) will present technical notes on the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which represent the EU's challenge to regulate the power of big technology companies and promote competition in the digital market. Over the past two decades, digital technology and business models have evolved so significantly that consumer themselves will also see improved services and an increase in the number of options available for the same service.

The aim of the seminar on "Global Landscape: “How Making trade policy” (OMC - WTO)", provide some practical perspettive up-to-date legal knowledge and presents strong evidence that trade has played a crucial role in narrowing the income gap between economies since the WTO was established 30 years ago. The flagship publication also analyses trends in the distribution of the gains of trade among people within economies, and emphasizes the need for a comprehensive strategy that integrates open trade with supportive domestic policies. With contributions from Group of Experts from the World Trade Organization (WTO))", these should describe important modifications and technical notes. The Competition policy to address excessive market power of certain large firms can help to ensure that consumers benefit from lower prices due to trade openness. Other policies that increase competitiveness can also make the economy moreresponsive, such as affordable, efficient and reliable infrastructure and well-functioning financial markets.

The aim of the seminar on " competition and consumer protection policy and General Product Safety Regulation ", provide some practical perspettive up-to-date legal knowledge of EU legislation and the most recent case law on topics of great interest to industry professionals.
Experts from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST) present technical notes on Competition Law and Policy in the Digital Economy and the EU Legal Product Safety Framework and GPSR, representing the EU and UNCTAD's attempt to regulate the power of large tech companies and promote competition in the digital and food markets. Over the past two decades, business models have evolved so significantly that consumers themselves will also see improved services and an increase in options. Protecting consumers from unsafe products requires trust, transparency and close cooperation across borders and today's meeting was a valuable step in that direction.
